Lakeland Downs is a suburb of Northern,
Queensland and is about 678 kms southwest of
QLD's capital city of Brisbane.
Lakeland (also known as 'Lakeland Downs') is a
town and locality in the Shire of Cook,
Queensland, Australia. In the 2011 census,
Lakeland had a population of 227 people.
Lakeland Downs is a small outpost in the Laura
Valley at the intersection of the Mulligan Hwy and
the Peninsula Developmental Road (the start
of the trek) to Cape York.
